Description: - Will combine shipping for multiple purchases Here is a World War II 93rd Division Patch. The machine embroidered patch was for the African American 93rd Blue Helmets Division. The Division nickname was from their service in France during World War I. Two regiments of the 93rd were shipped over and fought under French Command. They were issued Adrien Helmets and fought with the French Colonial Troops. In World War II the Blue Helmets fought in the Pacific. The patch was removed from a uniform and possibly a display. It is in fair plus condition and at least 78 years old, probably older. Two regiments deployed to France during WWI individually and were assigned to the French Command. They were issued French Adrien Helmets, hence the moniker Blue Helmets. Reactivated in 1942, the 93rd was sent to the Pacific as an African American Segregated Division.
