It is covered with a preservative that can be cleaned off using hot water and wax. It is 13 x 4 x 10 inches. The B-24 is the famous heavy bomber that flew side by side with the B-17 Flying Fortress. The B-24 Liberator bomber is a four engine heavy bomber used by both the AAF, USMC, and the USN.The USN version is the PB4Y-1. It had a very good start and was well liked by the pilots who flew it.Today only a couple of B-24's still fly making it a very rare aircraft.
