Description: Used World War II Japanese Steel Bayonet Fighting Knife for Arisaka Rifle plus Original Scabbard / Sheath. From WWII. Length: Bayonet Inside Sheath- 20 and 3/4 inchesBayonet Outside Sheath - 20 and 1/16 inchesBayonet Blade Only- 15 and 5/8 inches The button-mechanism, used to secure the bayonet to the rifle, is in fantastic working condition still. There are quite a few spots of oxidation/rust on the sheath, tang, pommel, and near the base of the blade. That said, the blade's still in great working condition, with all connection points still perfectly secure, exhibiting no wiggle. The only notable blade issue is there's a small chip/roll, which I've done my best to show in the final photo (it's midway up the blade edge). The chip is very small, nearly invisible to the eye, but can be felt and seen in the right lighting. The sheath still fits the blade perfectly, holding it securely in place, without issue.
