The flat measure of the leg opening is 6.5" and the rise in front is 9"; the material is 75% cotton, 23% Polyester, and 2% Spandex. The fastener is a faux zipper with a single button closure. There are five belt loops and two faux pockets on the front, with a little"change" pocket that is real (and tiny) and two usable pockets on the back. Great shape!!! Please note: My camera's lens is scratched and when I take pictures of solid-colored items, particularly black and other dark colors, it makes them appear to have a faded section, when really, they don't. This item is not flawed -- it's perfectly solid black! :) You will not be disappointed with these fine jeans.
