Description: Vintage Genuine VOIT SAIL FINS - NOT used in Sea Hunt This fin may look like it is for kids but, in the 1960s, these fins were made for & used by adult scuba divers.It was a great-looking fin that proved very popular with divers. The same design is used today but they are for kids.A lot of these fins are still in use.There was a similar fin from Voit that was called the ADJUSTABLE. Yep. That was the model name.Now those fins, much harder to find, WERE used in Sea Hunt, not by Mike Nelson but often by other divers in the show.The VOIT Adjustable was easy to distinguish. It had spines running down the blade just like these Sail Fins but only on the bottom. This pair is still pretty good. They are size Medium but since they have adjustable straps, they'd fit a lot of divers.Unlike many, the rubber is still very flexible. Unfortunately, the straps, which are thin rubber, are NOT good.They are dry, stiff, cracking & falling to pieces. The metal adjusting clips are there.The blades OK, just dirty but with a bit of careful cleaning & application of rubber preservative, they'd look like new.You can learn about cleaning & preserving rubber on my YouTube Channel - Alec Peirce Scuba. Search for "rubber". You can't use these fins other than for a display of Vintage Dive gear but they are pretty.
