Description: Here we have a lovely Elliot of London clock has a wonderful wide case with a nice moulding to the top. The dial is then flanked by two linen fold carvings which set the clock of beautifully. The case is then finished with lovely carved feet. The dial is then brass with maidens head spandrals to the corners of the dial with the middle of the dial being engraved. The chapter ring is then silvered and set out in roman numerals with smaller Arabic numerals setting out the minutes. It is then signed to the centre “AN Elliott CLOCK” as well as “MADE IN ENGLAND PATENT REGISTERED” to the chapter ring and is also signed with the retailer 'Greenwood' to the centre. Finally the dial is finished with two shaped fingers as well as a bevelled glass set into a brass bezel. The clock is then wound and adjusted from the back and ticking away as it should. The bottom of the clock is then stamped “2918 EJ”, “5 66”. The appoximate MAXIMUM dimensions are: 9 1/4 / 23.5 cm wide x 3 inches / 7.5 cm deep x 5 3/4 inches / 14.5 cm high AGE: The stamp to the underside '5 66' would date this to May 1966 CONDITION: The clock is in nice condition and happily ticking away. Just odd minor marks to the polish commensurate with age and use.
