Vintage Marx Johnny West-The Movable Cowboy 1967-72 Campfire Box Complete Set

Description: Hello & Thanks for looking at my auctions.. You are looking at a : 1967-72 Marx Johnny West - The Movable Cowboy - All Original Best of the West figure set in a 1967-72 issue Campfire box. He is 100% complete with all 24 of 24 Original Equipment Pieces. He comes With a Original Box + Original Equipment Manual Paperwork. He is in Great shape. The figure is a post -1970 Johnny West figure with the updated rivets design in the shoulders and hips. All the Joints and Springs are Very Tight & Clean with Very little to no hair-loss ( like these figures usually do have with play and age ). His joints work and bend and move what little I moved them. I didn't force the issue on any of his joints to the extreme because his elbow and knee joints are very tight. The brown/ caramel Marx poly-plastic figures are very brittle and fragile. He has No broken limbs or joints and the overall figure is very nice & clean..He stands well on his own but I would highly suggest / advise that if plan on displaying him to do it on a metal figure stand. He has All of his Tan/Brown colored Soft-Vinyl pieces and All of the Brown Poly-plastic pieces. All Pieces are in Great shape. The Chaps have all the locking straps.Two of them still have the feathered tassel ends with the locking balls. One is missing the tassel end but has the locking ball and the 4th is missing both. I think with a little work it would still pull through the locking hole enough to stay in place specially being on the btm of the leg. The buckle works well and locks together nicely. The spurs & boot straps are complete and in Great shape. You can see all this in the pics provided.. All equipment pieces are Original factory USA MARX. The equipment manual is an Original "Action Cowboy" equipment manual. It has No Tears, Writings or Marks on it. The More Best of the West Collection brochure is a Reproduction. You can see their condition in the photos provided. The box is Original both Top & Bottom. The Box is a very good example of a Campfire issue design box. They are usually Torn, Split, Marked up or have Major Repairs. The box top has had No repairs done to it at all. On the top end there is a Original Rose's Store price sticker on it. Everything else is just normal age wear. The box bottom has had some repair work done to it on the very bottom of the box only with some glue and tape on the inside.You should be able to see this in the pics provided. As for the set, Given it's age and the fact that he was a toy that was after all meant to be played with and is almost 60 years old, he and his equipment are in great shape. The Original Johnny's has well as the other Brown/Tan Poly-Plastic Marx figures are starting to dry up lately because of the brittleness of the plastic..( Just look around Ebay, seems like 75% of them lately are Broken figures ). With that said : I will pack him as securely has I can ( and have never had any problems so far ) but seeings how it is winter and cold, postal transport accidents can happen.
