Description: We live in an Amish area, so it's possible this item was made for Amish children. It's very crude with the chicken necks attached with both bent nails and bent pins. The pull handle appears to be a repurposed handle from some other tool. It's all hand cut, sanded and painted. CAUTION - the nails and pins are sharp. I suppose the Amish children know better than to stick their fingher onto sharp protruding nails, so it probably wasn't an issue for them. As such, I'm selling this item as collectable folk art. If you want to give it to a young child, you should do something about the sharp nails/pins. Measures about 14 inches by 6 inches. Individual chickens peck when string is pulled in different directions or they all peck at once when pulled straight down. Clever toy. Condition: Appears to be old, dusty and dirty. The string is old and dirty. The glue holding up some of the chickens is loose and should be re-glued. One chicken post was broken and I fixed it with grey JB-Weld.
