Description: You are bidding on one lovely large16" wash basin and 12-1/2" tall pitcher. The design is vine with fruit in vivid colors of black, green, red, yellow with gold trim. There is some ware on the gold trim. According to my research this set was manufactured by Burgess & Leigh under the trademark of Burleigh in Burslem England Middleport, Stoke on Trent. Hopefully I have interpreted this information correctly, I am no expert.The trademark is on both the pitcher and bowl. I have found no cracks or chips, there is crazing on the bottom of the bowl an indication of age. Not sure of age although this trademark was used beginning in the 1930's. There are a few spots on the bowl. Please look at photos as they are part of the description. This is a heavy set, the bowl alone weighs 6-1/2 lbs. Because of the size and weight arrangements can be made for local pick up after payment is received through Pay Pal. I do buy from auctions, garage sales and estate sales so I cannot guarantee this item is from a smoke free home.
