Description: A beautiful vintage length of kalamkari type cotton or cotton rayon blend. Lovely traditional tones of indigo blue, red and mustard gold on a natural ground. This tested as a clean natural fiber and interestingly has a more fluid body like a rayon so my best guess is a cotton rayon mix possibly? So in general has more of a rayon feel than the muslin that I generally find in blocked Indian kalamkari.A lovely find and also quite interesting, photo 10 shows a stamp on the back but I can't make out the writing. About the 1960's. Measures~ 32 1/2" ( original width) by 36" long. can keep your length selected uncut. Appears unused and in overall good condition. Many thanks! Welcome to my store!
