Vintage '50s Wyler Dynawind w/Chocolate Brown Honeycomb Dial,Midsize All SS Case

Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.*********** This seldom seen vintage 1950's Wyler Dynawind has a naturally aged chocolate brown honeycomb "SWISS" only signed dial that is truly special and presents beautifully. The original lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. This reference never came with a bezel. The all stainless steel midsize case shows honest wear and signs of oxidation. The outside of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL" followed by "1162" and "8170." The crystal shows scratching. While I normally show pictures of the movement's of watches that I put up for sale I am unable to remove the case back on this one. After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the automatic movement kept accurate time over an approximate 41 hour power reserve period. However, in order to jump-start the movement it's necessary to gently spin this watch face down after winding the crown, indicating that a service is needed. Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 32 mm without the crown, approximately 34 mm including the crown and approximately 16.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 7 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 9 mm. Given that this watch is more than 60 years old and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.
