Description: I wish I knew more about this blanket. But I do know it’s special! I’ve tried to find anything that’s even remotely similar to it online, and can’t. I believe it’s from the 40s. It’s a very lightweight wool (perhaps a blend). It’s made of a varying, intricate stripes pattern of southwest desert tones of tan, olive green, red, and baby blue. Some of the stripes have a pattern woven into them. It has fringe/tassles along the edges. It measures 53” x 64”. There are no tags. This would be great thrown over the back of the couch or on the end of the bed, or even hung on a wall. The colors and patterns are just beautiful. Condition: This blanket was obviously beloved, as it does show a lot of wear. I have marked the worst of it on one of the photos, and there are close-up photos of those areas. The red circles show the largest areas of discoloration. There are smaller stains speckled throughout the blanket. The blue circles show 2 areas where it was mended, and one area that is the largest section of being thread bare (I marked it as a hole in the photo). There are no other mends, but there are other thread bare areas and small holes (at an estimate, there are 20-25, most the size of a pencil eraser.) This beauty has issues, but I still think it’s a rare collectable that someone will LOVE.
