MILINARY WIRE IS ON EACH SIDE AND I SUSPECT THAT IT WOULD HAVE HELD ADDITIONAL SILK RIBBON. THE WIRING CAN SHAPE THE BRIM. INTERIOR IS LINED IN A BLACK POLISHED COTTON WITH PURPLE VELVET TRIMMING THE INNER BRIM EDGE. CONDITION: THIS PIECE IS DUSTY FROM ESTATE STORAGE AND I WOULD RECOMMEND A DRY CLEANING. THE TRIM IS BREAKING THROUGHOUT BOTH THE EMBROIDERED YET AS WELL AS THE PURPLE WIRED SILK BOW AND I WOULD CONSIDER REPLACING ALL OF THE TRIMS.
