Description: Original issue Marine Corps cross-flap canteen cover with drain hole. New old stock, mint condition. Wire hooks are made of Steel. There is a small amount of surface rust on the tip of the hooks. Snaps are brass, the ever so slight oxidation on them is white powder not rust. Also, 1 small rust mark on the canvas from being stored against the rusty wire hook of other canteen covers in their original container. Other than that, spot free. Dated 1944
