He was known for founding the Dawn Doughnuts chain, for his service during WWII, and for his philanthropic activities especially related to Jewish causes. I purchased this book directly from his estate. Book has blue boards with silver lettering, purple endpapers, and has full number line on copyright page. The dust jacket is unclipped and shows price of $17.95 on front flap. Rear panel has photo of Wiesel, code 05881745 on bottom corner, and ISBN/barcode at bottom near spine. Condition: Book in very good condition, slightly bumped corners. Small mark on rear cover at spine cloth from binding, front edge of text block shows some staining-this does not extend into the text or margins. Bookplate on front pastedown, endpapers otherwise clean and unmarked. Signature and inscription on prelim following front free endpaper. Binding sound and tight, no other markings, writing or other flaws inside. Dust jacket shows minor wear at edges and corners, is unclipped, and is in a removable archival protector.I do my best to give the information you might need to independently verify my attributions.
