Description: For sale, an interesting leaflet / small poster about the Three Gorges Dam Project in China. Unlike a lot of available documentation on the project this appears to date from the 1990s when the project was in its earliest stages, hence the use of an illustration of the dam as it was going to look instead of an actual photograph. From looking at photos of what was subsequently built the dam looks somewhat different here, although I couldn't say if this was down to the plans later being revised or just the fact that it was only meant as a rather loose artist's impression to begin with. It's an interesting artefact anyway. The text is multi-lingual English / French / German and two different Chinese dialects. Dimensions: 44 x 26 cm.
