Description: 1960s wool tweed suit was a very expensive designer creation in its day, made in France for Bergdorf Goodman. It's a high-brow Mod suit with spare lines to the long jacket and matching A-line skirt. Jacket has a collared neckline, princess seams, and hip patch pockets. Skirt has a fitted waistband, slight gathers, and a unique zippered closure at left, waist to hem, that can open entirely. Made with couture quality details and finishing. Both pieces are fully lined. Tiktiner / EXPRESSLY FOR / BERGDORF GOODMAN / NEW YORK ' at back neck and back waist, with vintage size 12 at back waist Materials Black, brown ochre, and ecru wool tweed in a checkered geometric weave, a beautiful quality mid-weight; caramel synthetic taffeta linings Closure Center front caramel plastic buttons to jacket with a single faille-covered snap at top, metal zipper to left side of skirt set with its pull at the bottom and its separating "base" at the top, with two pairs of hooks/eyes at waist Condition Excellent Condition Detail Very nice, has a few tiny abrasions inside the waistband where the hooks/eyes have been replaced, the jacket lining has a similar area of repaired stitching to the armholes, overall beautiful and looks flawless to the outside Washing Instructions Dry clean Please note: All measurements (bust - waist - hip) are the maximum body measurements that will fit the item.
