Description: Simpson 420, it was pretty sad when I got it, it hadn't been used in decades and was very dusty and dirty - so I cleaned the case, rpaired a crack or two, and spent a few hours figuring out that hte reason it didn't work was that the switches were dirty. I found a schematic (included), all the power supply voltages are correct. I put a drop or two of contact cleaner on each switch, and over the last few days, it's been working better and better. The scope traces show the analog output (yellow) and the TTL output (blue). when I turned it on after taking the photos, everything worked on first try, when I turned it on a few hours ago, I had to press someof the swtiches a few times befor ethey made proper contact - I think the contact cleaner is still cleaning the switch contacts. note, I have the full service manual with alignment procedure as a PDF, when you buy this unit, please send me an email and I will send you the file.
