All measurements approximate. Shlomo Katz (1937-1992) was born in Lodz, Poland. He studied in Paris at the Ecole de Beaux Arts. He introduced his work in many exhibitions in the US and Canada in the early 1970s using his technique of oil painting on a gilded metal surface. Katz was commissioned in 1985 by the Falcon Foundation to create 9 large paintings for permanent display at the chapel of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. These paintings are considered a National Treasure today and the subject of a book of 120 pages. His vibrant, creative works can be found in museums, temples, art galleries, and private collections worldwide.
