RPC mouthpieces were handmade by Ron Coelho, one of the best mouthpiece makers in the business. Sadly, he passed away a few years ago, so these fine mouthpieces are no longer being made. Since Ron was a one-man operation, his mouthpieces are relatively rare. This mouthpiece is made of excellent quality hard rubber. It has scooped inner side walls and a medium round chamber. It is etched "100R" on the side, but my own measurement puts the tip opening at .110". It seems common for Ron's mouthpieces to be bigger than specified. I have noticed that with other examples of his work that I've measured. This one is a 'blue letter' version. I think the letter color changed over the years, but I'm not sure that any color is more or less desirable than another. This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. There are some minor scratches on the table, but nothing that would affect playability. Aside from that, the facing is smooth, and original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak.
