RIO BRAVO Original 1959 Movie Poster, 27" x 41", C8.5 Very Fine/Near Mint

Description: This is the original (1sh) movie poster RIO BRAVO. It was used to promote the film in theatres when it was released by Warner Brothers in 1959. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars John Wayne, Dean martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan, John Russell, and Ward Bond. The movie was directed by Howard Hawks. Update August 28, 2018: I have added two pictures (the last 2 of the 12 pictures on this listing) to show two short lines on the bottom left to the left of the "L" at the left bottom corner. We understand that these two lines have not appeared on other originals of RIO BRAVO. From what we can tell, they would seem to be a production flaw, as they lines are straight and not jagged or crooked. One is a bluish color, the other black. By inspecting the entire poster, they are not run-off or smudges in our estimation as such blemishes would be less straight or uniform. BAK This restored movie poster is Rolled and linen backed. The poster measures 27" x 41". The poster was rolled once it was linen backed. With the linen backing, it now measures 28.25" x 42.75". This poster was originally Folded. Almost all original movie posters pre 1985 are Folded. This is not considered a flaw or defect. This Restored movie poster is graded C8.5, or Very Fine to Near Mint. This grade is generally the highest grade a restored original movie poster can receive. Original movie posters are graded, from the top down, as C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Very Good to Very Fine), C6 (Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc. It is difficult to find any C10 (Mint) original movie posers pre 1985. Prior to restoration this poster was graded a C6.5 Fine Plus. Restoration corrected wear along the edges, wear along the Fold lines, minor fold separations, minor creases, small tears, and pinholes in the corners. The poster is now beautiful and presents as pristine. This original movie poster of RIO BRAVO has excellent investment value. The movie is simply terrific with a stellar cast and story.
