This one made by Combat Serviceable has been made with a modification to the shoulder strap. So rather than clipping on the shoulder strap onto the short straps onto the back it has a permanent shoulder strap sewn onto the sides although not historically correct it does make it a bit more practical to use as a shoulder bag as the straps go each side rather than the back. This is great if you are looking for a handy and practical bag that still looks like a WW2 period item, ideal for 1940's weekends like Pickering 1940's wartime weekend or Goodwood revival weekend. The M36 musette bag with modified shoulder strap features: The design of the bag is that the bottom of the bag is larger then the opening. Bag size measures 30cm high. Bag size measures at the top 28cm wide 7cm deep. Bag size measure at the bottom 30cm wide 15cm deep. Main compartment has a panel sewn into the back to divide the bag, the panel folds flat so you can use the full size of the main compartment to fit in larger items, or you can use the divider panel to organise your kit inside better. Two short straps with clips on so it can attach to the M36 suspenders and be worn on the back as a rucksack (M36 suspenders not included). Two D rings sewn on the lower back are designed so when worn on the M36 suspenders the suspenders clip onto the D rings to reduce any bouncing.
