Description: This listing is for a mix of "My Man Godfrey" scripts & contract paperwork from Peter Hyams. The paperwork looks to be an agreement for Hyams to write a movie that was based on My Man Godfrey. Some of the paperwork seems to call for a remake and other calls for something is inspired by it. There is also a mix of My Man Godfrey Speeches and printed copies of the book it was based on by Eric Hatch. It seems like Hyams must have requested these for research/writing purposes. I cannot for the life of my figure out what this project ended up becoming. I'm guessing it was never completed for a variety of reasons, but maybe the name was just changed and the connection was never made. I acquired this in a moving vault auction lot that was previously owned by Hyams. The items were placed in the early 80s and were eventually sold at auction by the company this year.
