RARE IWO JIMA SECRET WAR MAP WWII Original Tokyo Pacific antique atomic bomb WW2

Description: This is a tremendously cool and rare map beginning with the island of Iwo Jima all the way to Japan and associated cities such as Tokyo. Also notated on the map are over a dozen islands below the mainland all the way to Iwo Jima. The map is marked SECRET on the top and bottom. The map measures approximately 8 1/2" X 10" The notations on the left border state the following:"Drawing No. 1307-A""For CINCPAC-CINCPOA by 30th Engr. Base Top. Bn. USAFCPBC March 1945." This map shows distance markers beginning at "IWO" (Iwo Jima island) on the bottom of the map, which is highlighted in the circle (see pictures). Iwo Jima was the location of one of the bloodiest battles of WWII. The island was taken by the Marines to be used as a landing and resupply point for a Japanese invasion of the mainland. The island of Kita is notated next to Iwo Jima on the map, which verifies "IWO" is indeed Iwo Jima. Condition: The map is missing a small section on the main crease line in the middle. It is has a glossy finish and is very delicate. The upper right corner has a missing piece, but none of these missing pieces or tears detracts from the content and detail of the map. There are numerous scattered creases and the main center crease has some separation, but the whole map is in one piece without a complete separation down the middle crease. The pictures should speak for themselves and ultimately be used to determine condition. I'm happy to provide additional photos upon request. This map highlights the ranges, distances, and islands from Iwo Jima to the Japanese mainland and was more than likely one of the main maps to be used in preparation for an invasion. VERY RARE map and I've never seen another like it - and probably never will. I've scoured the internet to try and find another one of these maps, to no avail.
