Description: RARE 1944 Wheat Penny Error No Mint Mark “L” in Liberty Rim Error Cent Coin Selling this for my teenage son who started his first job and has been bringing me “rare” coins weekly to sell. I know nothing about coins but figured it doesn’t hurt to list one for him. This coin has been circulated and has a few scratches but the toning is pretty neat. Lots of detail visible. No mint mark, and the L in Liberty is right on the rim which I read was an error. I haven’t cleaned it. Not graded but I’ve added many photos to help buyers judge it for themselves. Any money made on this coin will go straight to him for his race car project so feel free to make any offer, the BIN price is his fantasy but I know a lot goes into making coins valuable for collectors.
