Thanks.Pleurisy Plant or Butterfly Weed (Asclepias tuberosa) is a beautiful, orange flowered member of the milkweed family. It is one known to draw butterflies for its copious production of nectar, but to see this plant growing in nature is a special treat. In my area of Wisconsin I have seen it growing, but never in large enough amounts that I would feel comfortable wildcrafting, so I use dried plant material for my tincture. I mainly use this plant for respiratory issues, such as pleurisy (of course), but also dry asthma, pneumonia, and croup. Pleurisy root also has a history of use in treating TB as well as address other body system issues, such as digestive and muscular issues. This is an alcohol tincture. Dosage: 30-90 drops, 2-4 times a day OR 20 drops every two hours. CAUTION: Do not exceed traditional dose.Returns: I am not accepting returns because of the resale safety issue of the products. Even though the bottle caps may be sealed, the stoppers bulbs are soft rubber thus not tamper proof; and oils and ointments are not sealed.
