The Second Avenue Subway, after 100 years of dreams and nearly 10 years of construction, opened between 63rd/Lexington and 96th Street on January 1, 2017. 381 is leading the annual Sunday-only Holiday Train comprised of the IND R1/9s, and came from its usual south terminal at Houston/2nd Avenue, via the IND 6th Avenue Line. 8½ x 11 print from raw digital image, scanned from a Fuji Provia slide.
