Description: WAITER Miniature hand-painted bronze by Robert Olszewski (pronounced ol-shes-ski). SIGNED. COA. Original box is in great shape. The bottom of the figurine is marked: Goebel, 263-P, First Edition, 1990. The miniature figure is produced using the Lost Wax process. It is impeccably detailed and beautifully crafted. Foundry bronze is hand-poured, examined and polished. Then each piece is hand primed and painted. A special glazing gives the figures the look and feel of fine porcelain. The entire process requires over 50 steps and takes 6 weeks to complete. Goebel Miniature Studios was founded by Olszewski in 1979. The original prices for the figures ranged from $100-$160 each (believe it or not, we still have many of the receipts!). Stored in a non-smoking, temperature controlled environment. There is a chip on the left shoulder and also on the cup that is on the tray, easily seen in the first photo. Please examine the photos carefully, as this is the exact one you will receive.
