Description: This is an embossed metal (tin?) framed advertising sign for Old Dutch beer. It measures 12 x 8 inches. Old Dutch, as far as I can determine, was brewed in Findlay, Ohio by the Krantz Brewing Co., between 1898 and 1957. The print was "manufactured" by S.S. Zenter & Co. of Beaver, PA. Zenter was founded in the 1920s, but I could not determine when it shut down. I believe the condition to be quite good, considering its age. I do not know what a pristine example would look like, but this must have been kept out of the light, as fading seems minimal. There is some washboarding effect at the edges, as I assume the print has a corrugated cardboard backing, and a bit of rippling to the right of the wife. There is a woven cord hanger that originally had tassels on its two ends, though one tassel has disappeared. Please contact me if there are any questions. Thanks.
