Description: Offered is a nice Mobile, Alabama coin silver dessert spoon by the noted partnership of Albert J. and F. A. Leslie, working in Mobile, Alabama circa 1853-1873. This spoon bears their maker's mark to the reverse, and a period script monogram to the front. This is a dessert spoon, measuring about 7 1/4 inches in length and weighing about 33 grams. Dessert spoons are generally much less common than either teaspoons or tablespoons. Condition is very good overall with minor wear and a few tiny shallow dimples in the bowl There are no splits or repairs. All in all a nice Southern coin silver dessert spoon!
