Description: Base of this Nest thermostat has failed. Glass and stainless steel snap on display unit is believed to be in good working condition. This Nest thermostat was a gift to my 75 year old mother. She insisted she did not want a Nest thermostat, but quickly grew to love it. This Nest thermostat has never been dropped or abused in any way. Cosmetic condition of all parts is virtually flawless. At worst, a few fingerprints that will easily wipe clean. This thermostat was not subject to cigarette smoke, however it was installed in a house with a kitty cat. Kitty never put its paws on this thermostat or played with it. This sale includes all parts that came in the box when purchased brand new. The box is in excellent condition and is not stained, dented, or soiled. See the photos. They are photos of the actual item I am selling. Just to be clear, this is a Nest thermostat with the green bubble level, item T200577. Symptoms of failure: burner of forced air natural gas furnace will not shut off when connected to the base. Remove thermostat wires from the base of this thermostat and the gas burner immediately shuts down. Display unit shows no symptoms of failure of any sort and what is displayed on the screen is correct and not degraded in any way. Again, cosmetic condition is virtually flawless and as close to brand new as you can get.
