Description: Moser Karlsbad Glass Vase Antique Gold Frieze Warriors Czechoslovakia Art Deco Description and Item Information Up for sale is this beautiful, antique Moser art deco glass vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. The brown glass has a gold encrusted frieze (with subtle purplish coloration at the low points) with Greek or Roman warriors engaged in a battle. There are vertical panels above and below the frieze area. This piece stands about 6 3/4 inches tall, and it has a maximum diameter of about 6 1/8 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 3 pounds 6.8 ounces. The flat base is ground and polished, with a polished central pontil. This would be a lovely addition to an antique Bohemian art glass collection. Identification This piece has engraved markings beneath, "Made in Czecho Slovakia Moser Karlsbad." The exact age of this antique piece is not known, but it is likely circa 1920s. Condition The vase looks great overall, with light wear and no cracks. There are a few very minor, tiny flakes to the lower part of the vase, where the sharp vertical ribs meet the basal edge. The bottom has wear scratches, as expected for an old, heavy piece of glass. Otherwise, there are some scattered, very fine scratches here or there. There is no hard water staining. As made, there are a few tiny bubbles inside the glass. If you need additional photos, please ask.
