But it can easily be used as an id wallet that can hold a couple of extra cards as well. There is room to fold some bills. But again, it's based on how you see this item. I think it can easily do both. 3 slots inside, 1 slot outside. I also want to point out that I titled this as a faux or vegan leather. I normally buy leather goods because I don't like faux leather. It's soft enough to be leather. Honestly, I don't think it is but I can't really tell because I don't remember if I received this with something or if it came as a gift. If it is, it doesn't necessarily translate to a higher quality. But if it's not I don't want any disappointments. So I'm sticking with the faux/vegan leather description. This case is small enough for a front or back pocket, or a slot in a purse or messenger bag, laptop bag or briefcase.
