Description: This Matchbox Lesney King Size Number K14 Vintage Taylor Jumbo Crane is in exceptional condition for being over 50 years old. I was taught early on by my parents to take good care of all my toys. My parents never allowed me to take my Matchbox cars, trucks or associated Matchbox playsets outside. When I was not playing with my Taylor Jumbo Crane, I was required by my parents to roll it up in wrapping paper and place it with all my other King Size Matchbox vehicles in one of several plastic shoe box containers for safe keeping. By following these rules, I was rewarded with additional Matchbox items. The driver’s (right) side view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane is shown in the first attached high resolution photograph. This image shows the crane’s brilliant gold color, its tinted windows, side air vents and red wheel hubs and black tires. The crane’s gold boom extends beyond the front cab compartment and has a silver metal hook that is connected by a white flexible plastic rod to the end of the boom. The base of the boom is painted in red. The passenger’s (left) side view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane is shown in the second attached high resolution photograph. This image again shows the crane’s brilliant gold color, its tinted windows, side air vents and red wheel hubs and black tires and the same characteristics of the boom. Note: There are some minor paint chips on the front and rear fenders based on normal play. The front view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane is shown in the third attached high resolution photograph. This image shows the crane’s brilliant gold color, the front cab compartment with its two tinted windows and the vehicle’s front bumper that contains white and orange safety markings, round headlights with grill covers and a license plate with the following text “127EXH”. This perspective also shows the front of the boom and silver metal hook that is connected by a white flexible plastic rod. The black hydraulic shaft can also be seen between the boom’s metal connectors. The rear view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane is shown in the fourth attached high resolution photograph. This image shows the crane’s brilliant gold color and the vehicle’s rear bumper with contains round brake and backup lights and the license plate containing the text: “127EXH” on the right side. The rear of the crane’s boom is painted red and contains the original emblem with the following text: “TAYLOR JUMBO-CRANE”. Note: There are some minor paint chips on the rear of the boom’s base from normal play. The driver’s (right) side view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane with the boom fully extended in height is shown in the fifth attached high resolution photograph. The passenger’s (left) side view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane with the boom fully extended in height is shown in the sixth attached high resolution photograph. The front view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane with the boom fully extended in height is shown in the seventh attached high resolution photograph. The rear view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane with the boom fully extended in height is shown in the eighth attached high resolution photograph. The top view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane is shown in the ninth attached high resolution photograph. This image shows the crane’s two major components; cab and boom. The bottom view of the Taylor Jumbo Crane is shown in the tenth attached high resolution photograph. This image shows the front and rear axles and the four black tires. It also exhibits the boom and the silver metal hook that is connected by a white flexible plastic rod to the end of the boom. The bottom of the crane also provides the name and nomenclature information in the following horizontal raised text: “MATCHBOX SERIES” and “TAYLOR JUMBO CRANE”. MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY, “MATCHBOX” KING SIZE No K-2 SCAMMELL HEAVY WRECK TRUCK” as shown in the eleventh attached high resolution photograph. There is also additional nomenclature information in raised text “MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY” AND “KING SIZE No.14” when the crane is placed vertically as shown in the twelfth attached high resolution photograph. As noted, there are some minor paint chips based on normal play. Tremendous care was taken to properly preserve this matchbox crane. This toy came from and was stored in a smoke free home. This is a great opportunity to expand your king size matchbox toy collection. Note: Photographs are an important part of my description; please review all photographs before purchasing.
