Description: MEASURES:Height: 5,12 inch; Diameter : 4,92 inch ; Weight: 0,91 lbsCONDITIONS:Perfect in every way. Item description:Wonderful bon-bon holder box, in opaline glass, acid treated and decorated with wide knocker bands in pure gold, on the edge of the lid and of the mouth of the box, partly burnished with agate stone on the gold leaf applied in gouache, and partly not burnished and left opaque, to highlight the gold in relief with a highly valuable effect (similar process to that used for golden frames). Box in full Art Deco style, dating back to around 1930, unsigned, but easily attributable to Ludwing Moser. Useful information for evaluating the object:Although not signed, we can easily attribute the authorship of this object to Ludwig MOSER who often created similar objects in his artistic productions. To demonstrate this, in the last photos we have put a lot of two boxes and two vases, in purple glass, unsigned and older, in Art Nouveau style, but still worked with golden applications in bas-relief offered on 1stdibs for a good €2,400, then we have placed a transparent glass chalice, also decorated with a band on the mouth decorated in light bas-relief, more recent than our box but very similar in workmanship, sold at auction for €650 excluding royalties, all to give an idea of the value of similar objects. Information on the artist and/or manufacturer: Ludwig Moser (1833 – 1916) was an Austrian glass artist. In 1857 he opened a glass-working atelier in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic (then the Austro-Hungarian Empire) in which many independent artists worked, which became increasingly important until it had over 400 employees. His characteristics are the materials with which he chooses to work and the types of processing, in a union that sees the two parts strictly interdependent. Thus, regarding the first, the non-random choice falls on the typical Bohemian crystal, that calcium and potassium glass, lighter and less refractive than lead crystal, but which can easily be carved and engraved, as well as offering a better adherence to gold decorations, a distinctive sign of an entire Moser production line, which manifests itself in a frieze engraved with a classic old-fashioned motif and then gilded, which runs all around the vase. Alongside this, another recurring decoration is a floral or abstract motif, deeply engraved and carved on clear crystal, sometimes finished with a further application of colored crystal. One of the greatest exponents of the Austrian secession period boasts numerous auction results, the winning of many artistic prizes and thousands of collectors. ENTER OUR EBAY SHOP PORCELAINS, CERAMICS, TERRACOTTE, BRONZE, PAINTINGS, FURNITURE, GLASS AND MUCH MORE AS, FOR EXAMPLE: .OUR COMMERCIAL POLICYAware of operating in the eBay market, our prices are often lower than the real value of the object, as often documented in our descriptions, and also lower than the prices at which very similar objects are offered on other online art sales platforms and antiques. At the same time, eBay reciprocates with the possibility of selling a high quantity of objects, so our commercial policy is to earn little for the single object, but sell a lot and therefore earn on the quantity. In fact, the asking price is always as low as possible, considering how much the item was paid for and the eBay commissions (for the sale, payment and any currency exchange: from a minimum of 15% to a maximum of 21% , according to the country in which the advertisement was made). For each object there may be multiple advertisements in different countries: USA, Italy, France, United Kingdom, etc. Any price differences are due only to changes in the exchange rate of the various currencies between when we made the advertisement and when you see it. REMEMBER TO PUT ME IN THE FOLLOWING SELLERS LISTFor any additional information or clarification we are at your complete disposal, so contact us via message here on eBay. SHIPPING WORLDWIDE - RETURN ALWAYS ACCEPTEDThe cost of packaging is also calculated in the shipping cost, and everything has increased by 19% because both ebay and paypal also take fees on the shipping cost. OUR SHIPMENTS:.Our shipments cost a little more than the average, but they are all shipments with professional packaging. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes. This means that the package is much larger and heavier and therefore the cost of shipping increases, not to mention all the work necessary to carry out a similar packaging and the cost of the various materials used.
