Description: Lovely Floral Hooked Rug Mid-Century 53”x 35.5”Vintage hand-hooked, 100% wool rug with the theme of roses and scrolling leaves. The colors are soft and muted. The background is a light gray with a black border featuring two rose-colored stripes. The scrolling leaves on the outside are light blue with rose outlining, and those inside, closer to the center, are light pink with rose outlines. The oval medallion at the center contains 3 lovely open roses in light pinks and rose with yellow stamens surrounded by a number of buds and leaves in green shades. The binding is intact; there is one professional repair at one corner shown on the back side and in photo 4. Little fading is seen when comparing front and back in photos 2 and 3. The rug was hooked with 100% wool strips, using natural dyes. It ships from a smoke-free home. This rug while 50 or more years old has lovely soft colors and rich details.
