Then they introduced Buy It Now and most purchases are BIN. That means that auctions, which usually ask less $, are being ignored and often get no bids. If you reconsider auctions again, you have a much better chance of winning than you used to.AUCTIONS: Advantages of earlier biddingWatch List: Many bidders are putting items on their WATCH List and then they wait until the very end to bid. There are advantages and disadvantages to this approach. The advantage is that you are not driving up the price by bidding with your competition. The disadvantage is that bidders often forget to keep track of their watched items and find out too late that the item sold for less than you would have been willing to pay, or it didn't sell at all and you could have had it for the minimum bid. The solution to this dilemma: Bid just the minimum bid amount early on. This doesn't prevent you from also bidding at the end, and it doesn't drive up the price because it is just the minimum. Also, if you tend to lose track of what is on your WATCH LIST, then you wouldn't have to worry about losing an item that receives no other bids because you would already have bid.
