Description: This is a very rare Limoges Guerin & Co Decorative Collectible. Seems to be a Georgian Watteau Scene Cabinet Porcelain Scalloped Plate, with Cobalt and 24K Gold Gilt 8.25" Border. Handpainted scene of one smart cat who seems to be offering a "gift" to the Georgian couple as they sit in the courtyard with sunlight streaming through the windows serving as a spotlight on the cat's performance for the audience. It's just beautifully done and the hand-painted expressions on the faces of all three are delightful. The art is one of a kind, an original. And, the scene is still crisp and clear as the day it was painted and the cobalt blue and gold design/trim are both intact. It has been incredibly well preserved, having no defects or faults, especially none that diminish its value; no cracks, crazing, chips, repairs, or faded/worn paint. This piece of art is an antique, authentic Limoges Wm Guerin & Co France. The mark on the back of the plate was used from 1891 to 1932. This lovely hand-painted porcelain piece is now 90 to over 100 years old, although you'd never know it. I have not come across another. It's incredibly detailed.
