Stencils are made from a semi transparent colour mylar plastic, clear enough to see the object you are stenciling onto but opaque enough that you can see the cut image still for very accurate positioning. For best results use light tack adhesive on reverse or weight edges, these are not supplied. Always build layers gradually to avoid stencil bleed. Always prime/key and prepare your surface correctly.
