Description: Here we have a nice Stiegel type covered sugar bowl that dates to the late 18th Century. This bowl features an arched 16 ribbed body and a pontil scarred circular applied foot. The cover has an applied tapering finial with a pontil scar on the interior. The glass is a medium cobalt blue coloration that really glows when back lit. This example measures 4 3/8" X 3 1/8" without cover and 6 1/8" tall covered. There are a few pot stones within the bowl, one having two tiny legs (shown in last pic). There are no chips, cracks, bruises, open bubbles, repairs, etc. A great early bowl in overall, excellent condition for its age! If anyone has any questions, please ask.
