Keystone Stereoview Wrecked Battleship Maine, Cuba from Education Set #296 A

Description: This is a Stereo card of the wrecked and partially submerged battleship Maine in the Harbor of Havana, Cuba. It is from the Keystone “Visual Education” 600 card “Tour of the World” set from the late 1910's and shows great details. This set was used in schools to teach children about the world. Unlike most Keystone “Tour of the World” sets, this set has a very heavy emphasis on manufacturing around the world and includes factories, transportation, farming, mining, etc. Most cards in this set are in very good to excellent condition with typical wear to the edges. This card is titled "General View of Wrecked Battleship Maine, Showing Effects of Mine Explosion – Cause of War with Spain." and is numbered 296 with a Keystone negative number of 9078. This card is in excellent condition but had a very small section of paper loss on the back affecting a couple of letters of the description. It measures 3 1/2" by 7”.
