Max signed the cards before the UV coating was applied. Thus, the only way to avoid buying a forgery is to closely view the autograph to make sure it's beneath the glossy coating.”Our opinion after close examination by multiple parties in our staff (with over 100 years’ combined experience in the hobby) is that this autograph does indeed appear to be under the glossy coating. Additionally, we are seeing other copies of the cards in the set that are hand serial numbered and signed being offered on eBay. We believe these to be after the fact additions of the numbering and the autographs based on the difference in numeric writing styles and locations of the autographs.
