Description: You are reviewing an original, Grand Rapids made John Widdicomb Furniture 5588 China Cabinet. I purchased this cabinet in 2000 and have used as a showpiece in our home. This was hand crafted in the original John Widdicomb Factory by masters of their craft. This is a timeless design and still can be purchased new from Stickley. From the 1999 the retail list price was $24,900. I am not sure the price from Stickley now but you are welcome to look. The price list I have gives the following description. Distinctively Russian neoclassic china cabinet distinguished by the 38 gold trim dental and egg and dart molding; frieze containing inlays of Karelian birch outlined with ebony between a pair of brass medallions; touch controlled lighting and adjustable plate grooved glass shelves; 1/4 glass inserts in fixed shelf; beveled glass doors and ends; adjustable glides; crafted in cherry solids, cherry and Karelian birch veneers. Shipping is not included. This will have to be by a very skilled furniture mover who knows how to blanket wrap and pack very well. Please let me know if you have any questions.
