Description: From an estate purchase. I have not seen one of these before, so I did some research. I have seen these referred to a trench lighters since they originated in WW I. The IMCO 6600 Junior was introduced in 1955 and is still being made in China. The original Austrian made are made of carbon-steel (magnetic), the Chinese made are stainless-steel (unmagnetic). This one is magnetic so it was not made in China. There were three generations of this version and this is the second or third generation since it has "IMCO" printed on one of the internal pieces (see photo). Generation One had an arrow printed on that piece. Also included is a zip lock "Service Pack" made in Austria which has an extra wick and 8 flints, (the Pack shows that is originally had 10 flints, but there is a lot of flint dust in the pouch. Really nice shape.
