Signed copy of this 8th book to feature James Bond, collecting five shorter 007 stories. For Your Eyes Only was the first of only two collections, Fleming generally writing in the novel format. The second collection, Octopussy and The Living Daylights was published in 1966, two years after the author's death. We have observed copies of the fourth printing with gift inscriptions as early as April of 1964, the book likely being published within the first few months of the year. Fleming would die of a heart attack in August, making this a very late example of his signature. .
