Description: Vintage Germaine Monteil Porcelain Ginger Jar White Repousse Roses & Vines Japan This splendid urn was made exclusively for Germaine Monteil in Japan. It originally contained a bath powder scented with Germaine Montiel's famous perfume "Royal Secret". This beautiful piece was part of the Rosepoint Lace Collection - beautiful white porcelain décor pieces made in Japan exclusively for Germaine Monteil. Germaine Monteil was a real person. Born in France in 1898, she moved to the United States in the early 1930s and she launched Royal Secret in 1935. It is 7¼" tall with the lid, 6" without it. The opening is 2¾" in diameter and is 5¼" in diameter at the widest point with a base diameter of 3½" . All measurements are approximate This piece is in "as found" condition. I leave it to the buyer to clean and/or polish as they wish.
