I am now offering factory direct NH38A movements. The Seiko caliber NH38A is a 24-jewel, 3-hand automatic movement designed specifically without a date function. It’s a genuine no-date movement, eliminating the common "phantom" date position in the crown, which appeals to purists who appreciate simplicity. Many watch enthusiasts consider the NH38 to be a reliable, straightforward workhorse movement. In the NH38 series, there is an open balance wheel positioned at 9:00 on the dial side. Despite this feature, many brands opt for solid dials, covering the open balance wheel rather than showcasing it. Rotors marked with TMI are the newest version of the NH38A. Rotors marked SII are the older version or New OLD Stock (NOS). Here are a couple things to be aware of. 1) Beware of Counterfeits: Sellers offering this movement at a crazy low price are not going to be real. Yes the NH38 is counterfeited in China. 2) Be aware of sellers location: Some sellers are saying that they are in the United States but are actually having the order drop shipped to a US forwarder who puts another shipping label one when it gets into the country.
