Simulated are the major political, military, and economic events of the war from 1941 through 1945, as Japan fought the United Nations for mastery of East Asia and the Pacific. Two scenarios and a campaign game chart the course of the war; they may be played by two players or as a multi-player arrangement. The rules are divided into three sections. Part I covers the basic game, providing all information needed to play either of the two scenarios. Part II details the advanced game, which may be used to give greater depth to the scenarios; it provides all information necessary for the campaign game. Part III contains the optional rules and game variants, which provide even greater detail to the game and/or variations from the actual historical situation. The campaign game covers the entire couse of the war, while the scenarios deal with early and late periods in the conflict. The game's two maps portray the Pacific Ocean and Asia at a scale of 299 kilomenters per hex while 840 counters represent land, air, and sea forces.
