Description: This auction is for an excellent J. W. Young & Sons "AMBIDEX No.4" Fixed-spool reel, dating from circa 1960. This reel, in silver and metallic blue livery, was the first Ambidex Youngs produced in what would later be their "Polychromatic" range of colours.The No.4 model introduced the new "streamlined body" shape and was supplied in metallic beige and "Polychromatic" blue in 1958. It was a time change and there are many variations of handles, bail arms and spool assemblies. This reel is in great condition ("looks better in the flesh"!) And working well. Please study the photos carefully as they form a major part of the description.
