A burial item from the "larder" of a privileged, perhaps noble tomb. Waterfowl were an important food source for Egyptians, particularly in the Nile delta. The raised wings represent the position of a goose or duck in the market with its wings intertwined or bound. They were carried to slaughter in that way as well.
